The OnePlus One Android smartphone is still annoyingly tough to get hold of, but those with UK invites have been told orders will ship this week.

UK Android fans will be pleased to know that the highly anticipated OnePlus One will be shipping to competition winners and invite owners starting this week.

Here at Phonecruncher, our order for the OnePlus One is currently marked as 'processing'.

This isn't much fun to stare at.

We contacted OnePlus' Support team via the group's Facebook page for some more information on when to expect our order status to take a step forward.

We were told:

This is more like it.

Judging from the response we got, things are looking up for UK OnePlus One fans.

Over on the forums there's plenty of frustration and anger floating around, with the majority of forum users still waiting to get their hands on an elusive invite that'll allow them to buy the phone.

This latest information from the start-up company is certainly a step in the right direction however, suggesting that we can expect stock to improve here in the UK over the next few weeks.

Judging from this forum post from Littledado, Italian buyers are also in luck.

The OnePlus One features a 5.5-inch screen and a 1080p HD display, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with 3GB of RAM.

Other features include a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

'Security vulnerabilities' caused a recent delay in shipping phones to international customers, but sources are claiming that these issues have been resolved.

Android Authority spoke to OnePlus about the issue and were informed 'the first OnePlus One's ship to early users with invites as early as tomorrow'.

"There's a good chance you will receive your [OnePlus One] soon", they write.
